FAQ for Exhibitors
Questions and answers about exhibiting at WESTGENUSS 2026 – from applications and stand planning to costs, logistics and the supporting programme. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Please contact us: aussteller@westgenuss.de
Do exhibitors receive free tickets to the trade fair?
Yes. Depending on the stand package booked, exhibitors will receive a certain number of exhibitor passes, which entitle them to use their stand and visit the exhibition on all three days. Please refer to the relevant stand description for the number of passes included. Additional exhibitor passes can be ordered for a fee.
As an exhibitor, can I organise my own tasting or workshop?
Yes – Exhibitors can propose their own tasting formats as part of the WESTGENUSS supporting programme. Inclusion in the official programme is subject to review by our team. If you are interested, please send us a brief description of your format (theme, duration, maximum number of participants, technical requirements) to tradefair@westgenuss.de.
Tickets for all events in the supporting programme are sold exclusively via the Westgenuss ticket shop. Exhibitors can obtain further information on prices, costs and terms and conditions upon specific enquiry.
How do I deliver my goods to the Kaiser-Friedrich-Halle?
Deliveries may only be made via the delivery zone at the Kaiser-Friedrich-Halle (access via Hohenzollernstraße / Beethovenstraße, Mönchengladbach). Please plan your delivery to take place during the set-up periods. You will receive detailed information in the exhibitor information pack once you have booked your stand.
What happens if I have to cancel after registering?
For cancellations made by 15 August 2026, 25 per cent of the stand fee will be retained as a flat-rate administration fee. For cancellations made between 16 August and 15 September 2026, 50 per cent will be payable. After 16 September 2026, the full stand fee must be paid. We recommend taking out appropriate event cancellation insurance.
When and how is the stand fee paid?
Once your registration has been confirmed, you will receive an e-invoice by email. The stand fee is due for payment by 18 September 2026 (date of receipt by the bank). In the event of late payment or non-payment, we reserve the right to exclude you from the trade fair. For further details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
What do the stand costs consist of?
Stand costs depend on the size and type of stand package chosen. A detailed overview of all stand types, floor areas and prices can be found here. Stand prices consist of stand rates (row, corner or end stands, calculated per m²), a media fee and a service fee. All prices are exclusive of VAT at the statutory rate. Additional services such as furniture, technical equipment or extra power connections will be charged separately.
Are there any guidelines for stand design?
Yes. WESTGENUSS attaches great importance to a consistent, high-quality visual appearance. Garish advertising displays, oversized roll-ups or loudspeaker systems whose sound carries beyond your own stand are not permitted. We will provide you with a design guide, which will be sent to you once your registration has been confirmed. Our exhibitor support team will be happy to answer any queries at exhibitors@westgenuss.de.
What is included in the stand package?
All stand packages include the stand space, Wi-Fi access, a 230 V power supply with a maximum power consumption of 3 kW, and media services. You can find the exact facilities included for each stand size in the stand overview. Additional facilities can be booked at an extra cost.
When is the deadline for submitting the application?
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, provided that stand space is available. We recommend submitting your application early, as the number of places is limited and, in our experience, popular stand sizes are snapped up quickly. Registered exhibitors are given priority when stand spaces are allocated.
Which products are eligible for entry?
WESTGENUSS is a curated gourmet fair. Only products made by artisans or small-scale producers are permitted – no mass-produced goods. The range includes wines, sparkling wines and semi-sparkling wines, spirits, craft beer, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee and tea, fine foods, cheeses and delicacies, as well as high-quality kitchenware and handcrafted design and lifestyle items.
How do I apply to be an exhibitor?
Simply enquire about the stand that suits your needs. You can find this on the ‘Exhibitors’ page. Once we have received your application, our team will check whether your products meet WESTGENUSS’s quality criteria. You will usually receive a response within 7 working days.
What are the rules regarding waste disposal at the stand?
Basic waste disposal covers standard waste generated at the stand, such as paper waste from leaflets, outer packaging from individual products, straws, fruit scraps (e.g. used for drink decoration), broken glass, etc. This basic waste disposal is included in the service package covered by the stand hire fee, provided that the waste is sorted in accordance with the applicable trade fair regulations.
Larger quantities of waste, bulky packaging, transport packaging, etc. can be disposed of at the designated outdoor waste collection points for a fee.
Food waste, oils and fats – e.g. from the food truck area – must be separated and stored in accordance with regulations and can be disposed of at the designated outdoor waste collection points for a fee.
